1) 9-4x -4x-4

Solution:

rearrange: = -4x-4x+9-4
= -8x+5

2) 7-3x-4x^2-10x-6

Solution:

rearrange = -4x^2-10x-3x+7-6
= -4x^2-13x+1

If you equate it to zero and use quadratic formula, you can extract two values of x.

Quadratic formula is: http://www.unf.edu/~tbratina/mathed/images/quadraticformulaonly.gif

put a= -4
b= -13
and c= 1

you get

x= -3.3252 and
x= 0.0752

Hope this helps

Not sure..
1) 9-4x-4x-4
=9-4=5
=-4x-4x=-8x
so...
5-8x
2) 7-3x-4x^2-10x-6
=7-6=1
=-3x-10x=-13x
so...
-4x^2-13x+1

I am reading question as follows:-
(5 - 8x) . (- 4x² - 13x + 1)
= - 20x² - 65 x + 5 + 32 x³ + 104x² - 8x
= 32 x ³ + 84 x² - 73 x + 5

(9-4x)/(7-3x) * -4(x+1) / -2(2x^2+5x+3)

= (9-4x)/(7-3x) * 2(x+1) / (2x+3)*(x+1)

=(9-4x)/(7-3x) * 2 / (2x+3)

= 2(9-4x) / [(7-3x)*(2x+3)]

do the exponential parts first

then do everything you can that involves multiplication or division,

then do everything you can that involves addition or subtraction.

you only have to simplify this problem, not solve it.
