Have you ever gone for a job interview & thought that you've stuffed it up & had no chance, only to go on to the next stage of the process & ultimately been offered the job? Had you decided by then that you didn't want the job because you'd talked yourself out of it because you thought you had no chance? Did you end up taking it? Just curious...

That happened to me, but when I was offered the job I thought I was being rejected.
I told them thank you anyway, and hung up before I realised what they were actually saying. They called again, but by the time I totally snapped out of it they withdrew their offer.
