INTERESTING QUESTION.
i would say more living then dead,
think of china they limited their birth rate to one per female due to being over populated,
other country's are well and truly over populated or becoming that way rapidly.
OK there are natural disasters that take huge numbers of lives but we just keep re-populating at alarming numbers.
so i would have to say more living.

I'd say fiction because I don't think there is a way to prove that more people are living than dead.

OK, Everybody stop and think. The world population is increasing each and every year therefore it stands to reason that to make this statement true, there have to be more people living than there is dead.
