Is there anything I can take to stop it? Any natural remedies?

Also, I haven't eaten anything strange / out of date etc... I'm very careful like that, so I don't think it's food poisoning, could this just be a "side-effect" of the pregnancy?

Has anybody else had this? I'm taking iron, meaning that most of the time I'm constipated, with bouts of diahorrea which last about 2 days inbetween.

Also: Are there any risks for baby? I have had a high risk pregnancy, and I'm worried it could be harmful to her or bring on contractions... I haven't felt her move very much today. I'll be 31 weeks tomorrow.

Thanks!

Make sure you drink plenty of water all the time.
If you are generally constipated with regular bouts of diarrhoea then this is another symptom of the constipation! Eat a high fibre diet and after checking it is safe think about eating some liquorice as this might help keep you regular.
Also have a chat with your local pharmacist (they understand about people not wanting to take risks with the baby especially if you have a high risk pregnancy) or even a midwife.

The following is the best answer posted by somebody else to a similar question
"yes,my bowels were also affected with all 4 of my pregnancies, either i was constipated or had diarrhoea,i just couldn't win,was constipated for weeks, asked my midwife for lactulose, took just a spoonful, and it shifted me straight away(in other words i pooed for England).bowels play a big part in pregnancy believe me.good luck, hope this helped."

Try not to worry too much about the fact that you haven't felt the baby move today because worrying is the worst thing for the baby. It is highly possible the baby is just having a big snooze or is only moving gently!

There isn't really anything you can take for diahorrea. I had a stomach bug a few weeks ago and went to see the doctor and she looked up all the usual medications in a book and all of them said 'avoid during pregnancy'.
It won't hurt your baby as long as you don't get dehydrated. So you need to make sure you keep your fluids up. It won't bring on contractions at this stage of pregnancy.
If you think it is the iron tablets then you should talk to your doctor or midwife because they might be able to try you on some different ones that agree with you better.

Speak to your midwife and in the mean time drink plenty of water to stop dehydration.

These can be early signs of labour, or you have a stomach flu.
~Please see your doctor or call the maternity ward at the hospital.
~Dont take anything that isnt recommended by your doctor! ~

Go on luv! Off with you to the doctor! ~ smile ~
~cheers! All the best~

please telephone your midwife or maternity unit. The fact that your pregnancy is already deemed 'high risk' is an indicator that any problems should be dealt with by them, especially the issue of her movements. Please phone them now, don't wait for answers on here none of us can ever really know.
