What about some of the poor families who can't celebrate some of these holidays. Over the years, holidays have gotten so big, that a lot of people I believe don't even know the real meaning of it or how that day came about , there just spending money and celebrating something they don't really understand. Not all people, but a lot.

Christmas
It is too commercialized and is not one day, it runs from October to Boxing Day with one day off on December 25.
Then when people have reevaluated how they celebrate this holiday and get it straight, they can have it back.
Then you can KILL Valentines Day. We don't all like it and resent the unnecessary pressure to buy stuff.
But then... Hallowe'en is the pits too. Just a tad too close to satanic worship for me. "For the kids" is no excuse.
Hmmm both of them chocolate fests created by the candy and card companies. sigh... I thought this would be a simple Q to answer too!
However instead of being selfish, if you remove these last two nassy things, you can give people off ONE FREE day a MONTH to sleep in or play or whatever... with NO NAME ATTACHED> and of course they still get paid!
