The line is 3cms wide and inset about a third of the way from the left edge of the screen and shows on all video inputs. When the monitor is turned off for a while and turned back on it initially shows up in white before eventually turning black. I spoke to specialist engineer briefly who said it would require a screen replacement costing as much as a new monitor (ie £1500). However I suspect this may just need a card replacing. Am I right and how much should I expect to pay? I would rather not pay a call out fee if the monitor is a right-off.

to the best of my knowledge this is a dead pixel. i m not too sure.
this i generally a problem for lcd screens so it must be something along those lines. if your full screen were gone it might have been a gpu problem but since it is only a portion of the screen the vendor may actually be right.

perhaps he has heard others calling his dad's call and only concept if he calls him that he can be a huge boy too.i understand my nephew nonetheless calls his self after a caricature billy and mandy and could call me princess leia after yet another caricature.Aslong as he doesn"no longer call me the wicket witch of the west i wager it truly is all reliable...I save in ideas even as i became 7 i used call my self kim as she became the nicest and prettiest lady at school who has many friends the position's i had 2...i'm so previous i'm a great deal surprised i visit do no longer ignore that darn some distance..

I am guessing that is a dead pixel.
Get an LCD they don't die as easily as Plasma.
