Marriage is bunk now days and you know it. You people come on here and try to justify it day in and day out.

The facts speak for themselves. More people are getting divorced and screwed over because of this BS marriage rules. So wise people choose to shack up and avoid this misery of owning and being owned.

The truth is, marriage is becoming obsolete. It does not make any business sense.

Hi, Joe. Still struggling with that marriage issue, I see.

I'll tell you one more time, marriage is not what's become obsolete.

What's becoming more and more rare are people who have any sense of committment, and this does NOT just apply to the issue of marriage.

If I knew how to "teach" people the concept of committment, I'd own an island in the Caribbean.

I've worked with people who just had a total "come si, come ca" attitude about life, about their job, and about relationships. They don't give a $hit about anything because their whole value system is in the basement.

The quality of their work is shoddy, their sense of teamwork is crap, and as regards personal relationships, they seem to need to wear "loose shoes" and always "leave the back door open."

I wouldn't trust these people any farther than I could throw them, and I damn sure wouldn't buy a used car or a bag of herb from them.

So, that, my friend, is what is becoming "obsolete."

Marriage - for those who understand the concepts of trust, committment and love - is very much alive.

As far as "this BS marriage rules" goes, there are people who scoff at ANY kind of rules; they think that what applies to the rest of society doesn't apply to them.

No offense to you whatsoever. You are certainly entitled to your feelings and opinions.

You posted a question and I'm giving you an honest answer. I don't BS anybody.

From a psychological stand point I think that marriage is becoming an obsolete ceremony. Now people rather keep a sense of freedom and independence rather than being chained down to on person. Now if people get married 1:2 get divorced or separate. I do think the marriage for women is still like a fantasy but I also think that once most women hit a certain time in their lives the accept that getting married isn't a necessity in everyday life when they can have the relationship with out a full commitment. I however do think that it is the time and just a certain wave that is going through society now with the economy, marriage may become obsolete or just become a minor event in peoples' lives.

Marriage is not bunk. It seems like it is bunk and becoming obsolete because selfish people who do not want marriage in the first place get married for all the wrong reasons and do no even intend on keeping their vows to begin with. I know i wont get best answer here but i dont care. Marriage is only becoming obsolete in our minds because we choose to want it to. Marriage itself will last forever and it is a institution and commitment not to be entered into lightly. Okay Okay now i am done lol.

Why are you so negative about marriage? Everything you post has something negative to say about marriage. Aren't you married? I feel sorry for your wife. How does she stay with you? Marriage is not bunk. The marriage "rules" are vows and they are not BS. Marriage is not being "owned". It is a commitment to another person. No, marriage is not obsolete. If you have that big of a problem with marriage then stay out of the marriage section. Grow up.
