I do paintings in oil and they're actaully really nice. It's a talent that I didn't know I had until a pretty serious work injury has kept me home for close to a year now. But anyway, I'm thinking of offering paintings of people's homes. They send me a photo, I paint the pic on a canvas, frame it, and only if they like it they pay. I'm just wondering what people think of this.

This is a very good idea. Ive got a couple freinds whom I helped get started on this very same thing, accept theirs are paper and graphite drawings rather then oil and canvas. If you would be wanting help I would be glad to help, free of charge of course. If you want to go it solo, I would direct you to geocities.com Contact me at ookami_douketsu@yahoo.com should you need further help.

If people don't pay until they are happy, you'll lose money on paint and canvas. Take a deposit up front and only allow a certain number of revisions, and sign a contract.

I'm sorry for your injury, but it's wonderful that the time it gave you has born fruit.

I believe you could make this work.

One big issue will be drawing traffic to your site. I made a video about my own Web site traffic in December. I'll put a link to it in the box below.

I will also put in a link to a free ebook for online service sellers. It's the book that got me started on my own online service business.

Best wishes.

I like it, sounds like a good product. Just have lots of before and after images so people can visualize.

I think its a good idea...
Go ahead and create a small portal with your paintings on
http://www.geocities.com,...
try to promote it locally with some ads.... pamphlets ...or on the radio..
it think it should do well...
ALL the best...
