It's sad isn't it? Nobody's word means anything anymore, and society feels that if it isn't perfect, it's not worth it. Marriage is a lot of work, and it can be very rewarding if people take the time. And I agree that there are situations where divorce is justified, but not because of boredom!!!--People want the easy fix today, instant gratification.

I have never been married but, I will be by the end of this year. Some people get married cause they think they have to cause family pressures them into it. Which puts more strain on the relationship. People are bored cause they are bored with themselves. Maybe they should make a law saying you have to be dating someone for more then 5 years before you can say your vows. But, then on the other hand divorce is more expensive so those gradly lawyers probably wouldn't care. I take you it are happily married, not bored and would do anything for your wife. That is good and Congrats. There is always something deeper in a marriage then what we might here about so don't judge because they say they were bored maybe there is somthing else there that they are to shame to talk about.

i believe desires change, wrong desires can be devastating to a marriage. no one wants to put the effort in reconciliation anymore, they just change mates, they marry for the wrong reasons, and when their expectations don't get met, they go out and look for someone else, before ever asking the lord to intervene, before ever talking to that spouse and working out the problems. in every divorce there is one partner who wants it, and one who doesn't. the one wanting it is not hurt, they have someone else, its the one who is abandoned who suffers the most. just a lack of morals and character is the cause of most divorces. many people who marry have not resolved their past griefs. and bring it into their next relationship.and its the next spouse who has to pay for what the other spouse did.

They marry because they wanted a shag (men). They thought marriage would be a lot of sex all the day and night long, free and unrestricted.
Then they found out it meant to support a family and make decisions, so they divorced.

Marriage is bunk now days and you know it. You people come on here and try to justify it day in and day out.
The facts speak for themselves. More people are getting divorced and screwed over because of this BS marriage rules. So wise people choose to shack up and avoid this misery of owning and being owned.
The truth is, marriage is becoming obsolete. It does not make any business sense.

Because marriage is stupid. People should'nt be held to their vows just for the sake of keeping their word. They should keep their word because of love and destiny. I don't care if I ever get married or if the wife takes off on me, whatever makes them happy. Hopefully shes wants to stay because she believes God made us for each other.

Short answer - the decline of morals. People are too used to instant gratifications thanks in part to technology. People no longer value that which is easily attainable.
