I found it impossible to have sympathy for Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchet's characters knowing they not only left their kids with a nanny (and no other family in sight that could watch them for a day??) and then to hear the nanny tell the border patrol agent "I raised these children from babies, feed them breakfast lunch and dinner, change their clothes, put them to bed..."

I was too annoyed at the terrible parents Brad and Cate were to feel anything except that they must be pretty shallow, money-oriented or self-absorbed people to leave their kids to be raised by someone else and then just abandon them as they jet off on some vacation....

Anyone else got this feeling?

Um-as usual your views are skewed. It was a movie! I realize that you have strong opinions regarding child rearing, but you cannot change people, and people do things for a reason. Not everyone has family nearby or be able to stay at home with their children. You seem to bash people who ask questions regarding child care, and for that you are wrong. If you are so catholic, don't you know not to judge. Please realize, some people have NO choice or little choice regarding what they have to do.

Nope not at all. I was more annoyed with the Chinese girl flashing her crotch at everyone. Why was this part even needed?
