Perhaps you're asking what the meanings are to some common dream symbols? Although there are many books written on the subject, the only way to have an accurate answer for YOUR dreams is that the meaning of YOUR dream symbols are specific to YOU and YOUR experiences. To some people dreaming of say... a girl in a yellow dress may mean something like 'expect sunny days ahead for whatever plans you're making' while for others, say like me... a girl in a yellow dress may mean that one of my daughters may become ill since TO ME yellow is a symbol of illlness.
Skim through a few books on dream interpretation then buy one as your jumping off point... Just remember to personalize EVERYTHING... jot notes in the margins if need be... and remember (this is important): FEW dreams mean anything significant. Usually they're just stories your mind tells itself while you're asleep.

Your subconscious mind has a message for you and you are not understanding it so you will get a similar dream until you do get it or even if you are going through a difficult time and when you have made it you will know from your dream not knowing what the dream is about is hard to explain like if you are walking down a tunnel and can't find the light and you have the same dream then one night you find the light then the next day what ever was troubling you is sorted out

What do you mean by common? Dreams are dreams, they are sparked by a whole lot of things, pre-occupied mind, something you experienced etc. As far as I'm concerned, they don't mean anything... Otherwise, they could mean something if you so desire...

means that ur mind show u what ur eyes and ears unconsciously "picked" in the day .... u dream with either ur basic concerns or something u didnt pay any attention , it appears in ur dreams ..... according to mine , most of dreams r either trivial issues that I ignored or a long trmed dream " that I hv "tomorrow" a final examination ( mathmatics ) and I didn't touch the whole course , have few hours , and in the same time , lazy and careless but worried about it .... that was due to bad memories of secondary school final ex.
