1) you need to contact your caseworker and ask if a tax refund intercept is in place. ask if its been reported on his credit reports. ask if leins have been placed on his bank accounts and properties. ask why he's not in jail.

for that amount, he should be. i cant believe they allowed it to get that high.

you need to write a letter; in it give your contact info, case number, arrears amount, his info, and what are they doing about this? ask them why it got so high.

then take that ONE letter and FAX it:
1) both states Governors
2) both states Attorney Generals
3) both states Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office.

all links for these are below.

you see, phone calls are useless; ignored, denied or forgotten. mail ends up in someones "to do" pile, but FAXING is effective. its proof you sent it and proof it was recieved, therefor, they HAVE to address it. if ever you cant find a fax number (most are listed online) then just call and ask for it.

the Regional Federal Child Support Office fax is listed online (on the right hand side, after you click the state).

if you hear nothing in a week, fax it again... to all of them. fax it weekly if need be. who cares if you miff them off? whats the worst that can happen... he doesnt pay? he doesnt already, and i say you need some serious heat on the case.

after that letter, i would say they will arrest him shortly after. at that point, he sits until he comes up with a chunk of money (not the full amount) from wifey, friend, family... who cares. at that point, they will be watching the case more closely also.

If he works under the table then dob him in for it.

And when he gets a real job, get CSA to garnish his wages.

Keep on the system to follow him up.

It really annoys me when fathers dont pay!

That's his responsibilities. Under the law he has to pay somehow, someway. You are not the only person who was making the baby yourself.
