It depends on the school district. You should be able to call and ask your local school board, or log on to your state board of education's website for a salary schedule.

It depends on the sport, in my school district. Head football and head basketball coaches make the most. Regardless, though, it isn't much -- maybe $5000 for the whole year. They do it for love of the sport and the students, not for the money.

Depends on his personal standing. If he has played or coached a famous team or if under his coaching someone makes it to the national or international arena, then he'll be making a really high sum. If not, then almost like any other physical training instructor.
