i watched i left with more questions then i started with
1. i thought it was a sin for Jews to touch the dead?
2 they took the time to write on there Jesus Son of Joesph and Judah son of Jesus but not Mary mother of Jesus?
3. Mary would have been buried with Joesph plain as that they wouldn't have two separate tombs. in fact Jesus would have been transported back to his falters tomb.
4. first James bone box is a fake now it's not lol
5.i loved the way they just shoved Mathew box out of the way lol
6. and they only did DNA on Jesus and Mary no one else
and why was Marys name in her Latin name and not her Hebrew name that right there screamed it was a fake but the show never addressed any of these things they went in there saying we have them there. so that's that i mean they didn't even date any thing
and that symbol at the top of the tomb they didn't even try ti find out what it meant to me sorry to say that looks like a Temple symbol oh BTW i am Christian but i wouldn't feel threatened if this was all true because maybe Christ spirit ascended and not his body and i have no prob with him and Mary being married i have always thought the church was hiding some thing about him and Mary they were really close if u read the bible

The documentary did leave you in suspense and unopened answers. But if you have an "openmind" this does leave it for discussion. It's true that they found the tomb in the 1980's and probably alot of evidence or artifacts were destroyed or even taken. But what they did find was very interesting and some of the DNA testing was positive or as positive as they could get. Now, a possible reason on why they didn't place "Mary Mother of Jesus" on the tomb because of her title. She was according to the Bible as the "Holy Virgin" so to protect her from theives they possibly kept that from the tomb to protect her identity and her body because of her great importance to Christianity. Now Joseph actually was the "stepfather" or adopted "father" of Jesus so naturally they would have his name down before "God's name" since this also was of great importance and if Gods name was on the tomb I would imagine that great harm and theives would have destroyed this tomb way before they found it in the 1980's.Now the 10th box or was it the 9th box? It had become missing soon after the excavation in 1980. There had been another box several yrs ago that had been found simular to the 10th box but it was proven fake. This wasn't the same box. The box now which they have found had the same identification as the other family boxes when it came to the DNA or mineralization testing that they had performed. So this is the "missing box". Now the statistics on the names that were written on these tombs or boxes are familiar back in that time era BUT they also stated that it's unusual for these particular names that are also in the New Testament to be this common in one tomb. Such as Jose was not that common and it was the name given to Jesus brother. Now in my understanding on the program because I listened to the debate/controversy after the documentory, that the same question was given to the producer or journalist that directed the film. He stated that he might have done DNA testing on the remains of the box that was named Maria but unfortunately some of the boxes were "cleaned out" so do speak. So if there had been any bones or bone fragments in this box they were gone by the time this group got it from the museum. The "missing box" is now in a court trial so I believe what they need to do depending on the verdict is that the scientists need to get DNA samples from this certain box since the name is Joseph and see if they have the same identity as the box marked Jesus to see if they are biologically related. If they are then I feel that there could be a distinct possibility that this tomb could be the "Holy family".Also they need to retrieve samples from the box named Judah if there are any, to see if the DNA matches Jesus DNA.This might answer some important questions also. There were to mary's. One was Maria which is the name given to the "Virgin Mary" then the second Mary which actually was Marimne which was given to Mary of Magdelana. She was the one that was Greek origin. They had found old scriptures from her brother Phillip that stated she had gone back to her home in Jerusalem to die.None of these findings or discoveries will change my beliefs on God or His son Jesus Christ. Jesus could have been married and had a son of His own, why not? Jewish men married at a certain age if I have my info correctl This was not a sin to be married. Now maybe God didn't like the idea but whom are we to question this. The catholic church has hidden alot of info regarding Jesus and His teachings. They had found books from Mary Magdelena and also her brother Phillip but needless to say kept it out of the public view nor when scholars or teacher's chose the "Books" of the Bible they chose what they wanted to choose, so many books were left out of the Bible. So this is the understanding that I got from this documentary and some of it's findings are very interesting and I'm going to keep current on this issue.

Jews can touch the dead, except those Jews with the surname "cohen" which means they descend from a family of God's servants, these people are not allowed to enter a cemetery.
Mary would have the name of her father on her stone " Mary daughter of ?" that is the Jewish custom.
the fact that Mary's name was in Latin supports the theory that this is a different family, and not the mythical Jesus family. Latin was used by Jews who tended to follow the Roman customs, which Jesus family certainly did not.

Jesus was quite a common name in those days, so was Mary. There was only one Christ and I'm sorry to disappoint, but they are not his bones. He is Risen.
Cheers!

...I'm not sure what your question is... however, the answer is very simple... It's a Television ploy... The answer to Jesus has already be written... it's in The Book... always has been, always will be... Scripture is very clear about the "ding-dongs" who will from time to time bring us "vats of crap"... pearls on a pig I think...ummm.? put some-more lipstick on that "hog", some fool will want to kiss her.... !!!

So you agree it really was Jesus Christ of Nazareth who they found. I'm glad we are finding so many who agree. We can finally put this thing to rest. No Jesus God = no Holy Ghost = No Omnipotent God. Put them back in their box and go to bed.
