Pakistan is the only nuclear weapon holder in the Muslim world with missile range capacity upto Israel. In the pace of disarming the Muslim countries to ensure the safety of Israel and thus the US, it is obvious that Pakistan is the last nail of the coffin in this mission. If Pakistan remains untouched, then the result of the mission is fruitless. But if Pakistan is touched, then there is every chance of a nuke holocaust.

India and Pakistan, both are nuke powered and ever enemy to each other. At the same time, India was never a tail of the US. Would it allow the US to jump beside its neck?

A nation that already has a nuke is actually quite safe from U.S. attack. Also, every nation with any sort of ecconomy at all will have them soon, it's quite unavoidable.

Anyone can easily make a nuclear weapon, fuel is the only issue with construction and that will become easier and easier to make. Also, once fusion can be worked out on a reasonable scale you won't even need special materials.

Pakistan is our allie. The New Secretary of Defense, Gates, actually apologize to the Pakistani in how we have treated them. His belief to stopping Terrorism is a stronger relationship with Pakistan. That statement shows to me that Gates an intelligent man. I think Bush is stupid enough to declare war with Pakistan, but I believe Gates will hold his ground on this. If Musshariff is overthrown, I believe We must invade Pakistan to support Musshariff or another moderate Muslim. On the other hand I believe it is more imperative to contain India. India started the nuclear build up and they are an equal threat in a Nuclear war. It is possible to remove Pakistans nuclear possibilty only if India's nuclear weapons are neutralized. On the other hand India would not let go of their nukes if Pakistan does hand over their weapons. THe International community still consider India a rogue nation, for not signing the non-nuclear proliferation. Musshariff is a reasonable man for a third world dictator. Nush is an idiot and didn't klnow what he was doing when he signed a trade to improve Indias Nuclear capability. He is the main cause of the increase in terrorism in Pakistan and the increase power of the terrorist in western Pakistan. Forcealbly removing Nukes from Pakistan would further galvanize terrorist agains America and help the terrorist to recruit. Geo-politics is not simple. We should look what would happen 20 years from now. I don't know what you mean about India was never our tail, but they were never our allie and infact is joining a pact with Russia and CHina to help reduce American power. Its concerning to me that we are giving a nation Nuclear technology and selling them Uranium when it is know that they are intending to contain us.

Based on Bush's words in 2002, I'd say no. Because he said that his "axis of evil" was Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. I don't think it will escalate to a purely religious war because there is so much diversity in belief in most countries. As long as he keeps calling his targets terrorist and communist countries, he can do whatever he wants as the U.S. president. But I do not believe the same it true for headlines of, "President declares all Muslims are evil!", or anything so ridiculous.

I think you have hit upon one of the many flaws in US foreign policy. The current administration just lacks the imagination to deal with an asymmetric world.
