depends on your relationship with said friend. I think some of the best b-day gifts are when a friend is cool enough to take me out to movies and pay for tix or go somewhere like a concerpt. That seems a lot more memorable than an object they could buy for themselves at less than 20 bucks.

It's really something that needs to be personalized for HER. what are her interests and hobbies? Does she like a certain sport, a band or music artist, jewelery, makeup, food? Think about her as a person....what do YOU think would be a thoughtful gift for her? When in doubt, make sure to include a nice card with a special and thoughtful note written by you inside. In this card, tell her you love her, how much she means to you, how much fun you have with her, or anything like this that'll make her heart melt!

go to a foreign gift store. they have nice stuff from all over the place.
