It's a Terrible situation; you feel the screen is no longer yours, it's being continually hijacked.
You need a free programme called "Pop-up Stopper" and you get it from the lovely people at www.panicware.com.
I first installed it about 8 rears ago and it really works.
There is a hand that shows in your system tray, and by right clicking on that hand you can turn it off if you have to, so that photos or forms that are in a popup format can be displayed. But don't for get to right click to turn your popup stopper back on when you've finished with those pages.
You'll also notice that if someone tries to impose a popup window onto your screen with the stopper operating, a red circle with a line through it will flash onto your screen. You then have the option of accepting the popup or not.
Good luck

shechinah; There sure IS !
There are 2 (main) kinds OF adverts: 'pop-up', & 'banners'.
Here is a short list to really supress these annoyances:
a): "Stopzilla" -(www.stopzilla.com)
b): "Pop-up Cop" -(www.popupcop.com)
c): "WebWindow Killer" -(www.anarellion.com/aalku/WebWindowKiller)..
d):Now, not ALL 'pop-ups' [are unwanted], so there is this one
that lets you decide [how you wish to handle] those at different sites:
like: "Guidescope -(www.guidescope.com) -this will filter 'banners'..
-but for FREE; one cannot, [really go past]: "ZoneAlarm"..
-(www.zonelabs.com); this used to offer, even THREE settings..
-but I MUST mention: having a look-in at:
spf-pro.htm>.. (but may cost..)
-Yet, Shech; I really think that (free) "ZoneAlarm" will prove
YOUR answer.!

I had an analogous problem. If scanning with an anti-secret agent ware application does not help, attempt here: reproduction precisely the message that your laptop reflects in google and supply it a seek. you will locate that different persons had the comparable problem and professionals have guided them to confirm step by skill of step the undertaking (on distinctive boards). it rather is how I bumped off my secret agent ware and upload-ware, because of the fact there are a number of steps.
