Though I'm sure I'll get a few thumbs down for this, I thought "Eyes Wide Shut" was pretty disturbing. Not in your average "people getting killed" sort of way (though people do die in the movie), more of a creepy "that could really happen" sort of way. If you liked the Shining, you might like this one, as it's done by the same director.

The Prestige is good and I like anything from M. Night (Sixth Sense, Signs ect.) but I'm not sure if they count as thrillers
