Because we all know that every woman's dream is to get married and have kids. But for guys is it really the hell hole that I hear all married guys talking about?

Yes and no. Yes, it is a sort of combination hell and prison, and you should not get married if you aren't ready for it. No, it's not as bad as some people think. There is a lot of variation based on how bad the wife is.

No, marriage is not a prison, nor a loss of freedom.

Your question seems to suggest that you need totally "loose shoes" and need to "leave the back door open" at all times. I'm assuming that you feel the need to be able to come and go as you please without giving anyone else (ie, your wife) any idea where you're going or when you'll be back.

Hint: don't attempt any long term relationship of any kind; married or just shacking up.

I've been married almost 37 years to a sexy, intelligent woman who gives me whatever I want most any time I want it. We love each other. We care about each other's happiness and well-being. A strong, healthy relationship allows for a certain amount of personal space and privacy.

Wow some woman screwed you over to have that outlook. Not all woman are like that. I am definetly not. I don't believe in marriage and actually think its a form of legal positiution. I would never trap a man and will only accpet open relationships. I am not the only person in a mans life and I accpet that.

I know it's guys only, but I personally wouldn't do it for any other reasons than tax and insurance. It's just a piece of paper anyways, and it doesn't stop people from doing what they want to do. Some men don't need to be married because they prefer to be with more than one woman, and that's fine! You have to do what's comfortable for you. Only make that sacrifice if you really want to and have no intentions of being with another ever again for all eternity.

Marriage is a partnership, for 2 people in love who want to share their life together.

You would only feel like you were in prison if you were married to the wrong person.

Pretty narrow minded generalizations there! EVERY woman's dream? Enter into a marriage with an attitude like that and you can guarantee it will be a failure!
