They are each good for different reasons. GBU was probably more realistic. MWSLV was a better drama. GBU has probably aged better. LV was a great movie in its time.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by miles. It's one of the best movies of all time period, never mind just one of the best westerns. The dark humour, epic cinematography and Morricone's musical scores make it an all-time classic, for me at least. And Eli Wallach as Tuco is something else, he almost steals the movie from Clint Eastwood. And then of course there's THAT ending :-)

Looks like the folks over at IMDB.com agree with me too, as the regulars on that site have voted it number 4 in their all time top 250 movies list:

Clint Eastwood was perfect in this role... plus it was kind of funny... It combines all the elements, it's not a common western movie... :)
