Well, he's a guy in a secret organization, usually referred to as Solid Snake. He has brothers, Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake. He also has a 'father' who was Big Boss. He is from the "Metal Gear Solid" series.
Actually, about snakes, it depends on the kind you would like. The most common being corn snakes, I would suggest a 45gal breeder tank(a long and low tank, for more crawling room) and a substrate of bark(but NOT ceder, as it has chemicals that can kill). Hide spots, branches for climbing, and feed it pinkies, baby mice. You can feed it insects, but it NEEDS the mice. I have found that hamsters work well, too, and since they eat their babies anyway, this is a good idea.
Usually mice have to be fed dead, thawed out. They are usually frozen. At my local store they want $1.09 for ONE pinkie mouse! I decided thats crazy. I suggest buying a pair of mice/rats/rodents and using their babies. It would be a LOT cheaper.
