I have anti-virus software on my computer, and I have Spybot Search and Destroy. My Uncle and a family friend have told me that I need both a spyware AND a separate Add-ware software in order to fully protect my computer. I had Ad aware on my computer but a friend took it off and replaced it with spyware Blaster which Ive never heard of. Does it do the same thing as Adaware or should I put the software back on my computer?

~Spybot gets rid of spyware, and Ad-Aware gets rid of adware.

I use Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware Personal SE along with Avast . They seem to work pretty well. the combination seems to be a very good one - i haven't had any problems since I began using them.

not exactly

Ad aware removes spyware that is already on your PC

Spyware Blaster prevents many known spyware items from being placed on your PC

I would go with a combination of Spybot and Spyware Blaster

Here is a link for an excellent freeware program
that offers REAL-TIME protection. Use this along with Avast, and you should be set. The second link is for a simple yet effective firewall.

I used to love Norton AntiVirus until eventually ultimately it grew to alter into bloated and started out to no longer be waiting to quarentine Trojans picked up on the suggestions superhighway. AVG loose has been doing a extra functional pastime in the two departments. As for spyware look at WebRoot undercover agent Sweeper. or in case you like somthing loose AdAware or Spybot for eliminating.

spyware blaster is simular to spybot or adaware but is less effective and works abit differently
