do u think in these days that we so much instant messaging for interacting with ppl its ruining our conversation skills in person, it seems to me that i can talk for hours with somebody on msn - but in person i wouldnt have 2 things to say, just wondering what ur take on it is --- maybe im just on crack

It is so much more anonymous on IM, that we can say anything we like, without worrying about the consequences.

It can be addictive. I think you are right and our conversation skills as well as our spelling ability is suffering.

Life is just so much faster and instant gratification seems to appear possible when indeed it is not - everything is only an elusive
falsification.

I think I know what you mean.......but having said that....the only person I instant message with is 6000 miles away.....so I don't have much choice. He's too tight to telephone....he won't even receive calls because that costs him too!!!

i think it is . while on msn or yahoo we dont have worry about posture , expressions etc etc , which is very important in real life.
also we can be whoever we want to be in these chat portals.
