C. Vaas of Sri Lanka took 3 wickets in his 3 balls and took the 4th wicket in his 5th ball. This match was against Bangladesh in 2002-2003 world cup in SA. He ended with 6/25 in that match.

Till now i dont think that anybody has taken four wickets in first four balls. the only bowler to take hatrick on first three balls of ODI in world cup is Chaminda Vas from Shri Lanka
