Yes, exercising a lot can cause you to skip periods. It can also slow down estrogen production, so if you are not through going through puberty, you might not want to exercise as much. Low levels of estrogen while you are going through puberty can cause you to under develop... meaning small breasts and a small stature. If you have gone through puberty, then i wouldn't worry about it. When you decide to get pregnant it might end up being a problem though.

The first question is how old are you? As if you have only recently started your periods your body may not have finished fully developing and settled int a relatively normal cycle. The start of the menstrual cycle is known as menarche and the average onset is about 12yrs of age but may vary between 8 - 16 yrs.
There are two hormones that affect the menstral cycle which are very important, estrogen and progesterone. Choleserol is chemically changed in the body and can either become estrogen or testosterone. It is this therefore why women who have a low level of body fat, i.e. athletes and anorexic, may stop having periods completely.
So to answer your question then yes if you exersize excessively you can cause your periods to stop. I would not recommend it though as you may inhibit your ability to have children at a later date.

Yep you're right. Being underweight can cause the loss of your periods. It's very common in female athletes to have totally disrupted cycles or in fact no periods at all. Best plan would probably be to ask your doc whether what you are doing is healthy. 1.5 days generally isn't considered 'normal' for a period, however differences between women and their menstrual cycles are huge so like I said, probably best just checking with the doc.

Not only can too much exercise cause your periods to slow, but it can also be problematic for women trying to conceive. Given the fact that your periods are only lasting for 1½ days, even though I'm sure every woman on earth would kill for that short length of time lol, it's still not the length of time that's considered normal or healthy.
I recommend you see a doctor and shorten the time you exercise.
Good luck!

Yes this can happen! If you exercise a lot, or lose a lot of weight it can cause you to miss a period. Especially if it is a drastic change in activity.

i workout for an hour every day and nothing like that has ever happened to me. i think you need to be very undernourished or hyper-athletic (like people who train for 4 or 5 hours a day) for it to affect your menstrual cycle. i don't think it matters if your periods are light, as long as they're regular.
