Why is it that Jerry Lawler JUST gets inducted, when Eddie Guerrero was inducted just a few months after his death? btw, I'm not bad-mouthing Eddie, I just want to know.

And was Owen Hart ever inducted?

Eddie was inducted because of his sudden death and his importance to the sport of wrestling.

Owen's wife, Martha, has said that she would prefer he not be inducted (she still harbors ill feelings toward Vince and WWE). Also, the WWE probably wants to avoid controversy over inducting Owen, because of the way he died and their liability issues.

It is simply up to Vince McMahon .... there is many wrestlers who have never been inducted and they have contributed and influenced the business.

I read that in order for a wrestler to be inducted they must be in good standing with Vince, or be good friends. It is more likely wrestlers like shawn michaels and triple h will get inducted just for being close to mcmahon.

Owen Hart was not inducted. Eddie Guerrero was expected to be inducted anyways, he was world famous in many promotions and influenced a lot of wrestlers. Owen was said to be the same but died early in his career to probably be recognized long enough.

Jerry Lawler, well was a major player in a few promotions and made an impact some local ones too irregardless if he is good friends with vince, lawler probably earns it.

I guess it all depends on the hall of fame comittee who gets in and how long it takes. I guess Eddie was just for out of the respect of the current rosters and the closness between the guerreros and the mcmahons might have had a push on that issue. I mean Curt Henning has been dead for a while, so has Owen Hart, Rick Rude and others, but they haven't been inducted, so yeah, I see where you're coming from on that issue.

Its all up to Vince in the end. Owen isn't in yet, I think they wanted to get Bret in first so that he could induct Owen. If Owen doesn't get it this year ID say as soon as they can get Bret to do the honors he will be.
