Can anyone help me with this?
I have an LG dvd recorder RH7500,with 80GB hard drive, and have had consistent problems copying from the hard drive to a disc.It just won't initialize the disc for some reason,so I end up filling up the hard drive with stuff I want to put onto discs,and then i'm stuck and have to delete half of it.We have tried cleaning the heads with limited success.Has anyone else had any problems or any ideas how to sort out the problem?
thanks very much .I can't actually burn any films onto the disc as the disc won't initialize.That's where the problem lies.I have tried all different brands but no luck.It's unfortunately not recognizing any blank discs at all.

it worked alright at the beginning but it's now 18 months old so can't return it

hi,
Not sure if you have tried this....
make sure right format dvd disc to record on
have you formatted disc before you record, if - format have you finalist disc before you watch it
if you have done all this before and there is still a problem, then it would be internal, and will need to be sent away to be fixed,

If it is still under warranty return it. It appears to be faulty
