Dustin, if you like classic New England.
Do this trip on a Harley or an old Triumph!
~~ Head for the north west corner of Connecticut!
To the 18th-century village of Litchfield.
With it's village green, white-steepled church and maple-shaded streets, it's a real slice of American history.
This beautiful part of the country is just 100 miles from New York City and 35miles from Hartford.
The area (known locally as the Litchfield Hills) has many classic New England villages, country inns, stone-walled fields, vineyards, gardens and beautiful views of hills, valleys, rivers and lakes.
Just west of Litchfield is the village of Kent, known for it's art and antique galleries and covered bridges.
It is a great area to discover by any mode of transport.
But as anyone (whom has watched Easy Rider 12 times) will attest to, it is way better on a motorcycle.

~~ Another great ride is Maine's ragged coastline. Small quaint fishing villages and lighthouses are to be found dotted along it.

~~ If you like to ride in isolation, head to The Outer Banks of North Carolina.
On a 100mile ride from Kitty Hawk to Okracoke (where the road ends) a rider can enjoy long stretches of undisturbed beach and some unusual landmarks.
The Wright Brother's National Memorial and the highest sand dunes on the east coast at Jockey's Ridge State Park.
A favourite with kite-flyers and hang-gliders.

~~ If you want to head a little further inland, visit Lancaster County in Pennsylvania.
Beautiful Amish settlements, many, many covered bridges, B&B's, spectacular scenery!

~~ In Vermont, follow Highway 100 as far as it goes up the centre of the state.
It's beautiful most of the way!

~~ The far north of New Hampshire is also worth a trip. Especially in Autumn!

You have many places you could visit!
