I have a big problem!! I am 13 this year and my period have not come !! Is it adnormal?? And i am worrying day and night that my period would come in school and the blood would seep through my skirt . and it would be so embarassing .. What should i do ?? Please helpme!!!

Fear not, every girl is different! I happen to know a girl who didn't start her period until she was 20 years old!
If you're that concerned about it, then just take a tampon or pad with you and keep it with you when you go to the restroom, ie, in your purse, etc.
If you end up starting your period, despite how embarrassing you may think it is... don't worry! You're not experiencing anything that the rest of us haven't experienced! And always remember, I'm quite sure you're envied! Having a period is never fun so enjoy your period-free days with a smile! It'll happen when you're body is ready, I promise!

When I had my very first period (yep, at age 13) I had it start in the middle of the nite while I was trying to sleep. Then when I would go to school I always made sure I kept pads with me, and also extra pairs of panties just in case I had a problem with staining.
But because you are worried pls also talk to your mom about these concerns and as one of the other posters suggested ask her how old she was when she started. My mom was 11 when she started having her periods. I started two years after she did.
Your period can come at any time, and some girls don't start their period til they are 16.
Pls talk to your mom, a trusted adult friend or female family member if you can't do that.

Ask your mom how old she was when she started.
It just depends upon your body.
My friend didn't start till she was 15 years old.
If you are to worried about it then open up to your mom and have her take you to the doctor just to get checked out so you'll feel better about it.

take a pad with you to school in your purse, yes it might do that, but you can rinse it out with cold water and say that you sat in something. it will come sometime between now and 16 or so.
