No not GOONIES, No not sub ride at Disneyland.Both very cool ideas.However, thanks for the effort. Unless you lived in Southern California in the 1960's as a kid and walked through it you would not have seen it. It was on the way to a beach or amusement park. We thought there could be someone else that remembered it too and they could tell us where it was located and who built it. It was wide enough to drive a car through and newly paved at the time. It could have been near the coliseum in Long Beach if that is where the Ice Capades were held during that time period.This was a LIFE-SIZED display with mermaids, King Neptune in his throne, a treasure chest and a shack that said Davey Jones Locker in the background.It looked like a stage set up where actors might slip in the side door and put on a show. We seemed to be there in the evening after our parents were home from work to take us so it looked closed. This is a great forum and answers some important questions. Thanks for the time.
