i turn on the ignition, new battery, it turns over but wont start. i got no dash lights or blinkers, but the headlights and radio works. no battery light or seatbelt light in dash panel when i turn it over. but every once in a while these lights come on and the car will start right up no problem. i used to have to turn the key on and off again 15 to 20 times to get these lights to come on so it would start. but they wont come on at all anymore. please help

I would be inclined to start looking for an electrical problem in the column. meaning that either the ingnition module or key switch assy, is getting bad. also something else to check is if it has passive anti theft system. if you have a key that has been cut and not properly programmed for the car it wont due a thing. a possible bad original key as well could cause you problems.

Sounds like it may be your ignition wires are grounding somewhere in the circuit. Testing those shouldn't be to much of a hassle.

it sounds to me like there's a bad ground somewhere. chasing those damn things unnerves me--so i'd pay someone to do it for me. my mechanic found a bad ground in just a few minutes because he knew what to look for. i'd STILL be crawling around all over that car with a tester trying to figure out what was what.

Before going any further, make sure battery terminals are tight.
