They are the same. They are branded to appease the american persona. The average american wouldn't buy a $45k honda, but would buy a $45k acura. The same goes with Toyota/Lexus and Nissan/Infiniti. Until recently many places overseas just used the Honda, Nissan, Toyota name. My last time overseas I drove a toyota Harrier, which is the exact same thing as a Lexus RX, just as the toyota celsior is the same as a lexus LS, and Toyota Soarer is a lexus SC. I can see a honda integra in the parking lot right now, which bears a striking resemblance to an acura RSX in the states. The 7g accord in europe is a TSX and not an accord.
It's all marketing games. Built by, designed by, and sold by the same people, just sold by whatever name appeases the target demographic.

It is produced by Honda another brand name by the same producer I will copy and paste some information about Acura .
Acura (アキュラ) is a brand name used by the Japanese car manufacturer Honda in the US, Canada and Hong Kong since March 1986 to market luxury automobiles and near-luxury vehicles. The brand was introduced to Mexico in 2004 and to the Chinese market in 2006. It is also planned to extend Acura to the Japanese domestic market in 2008. With the Acura brand, Honda is credited with being the first to tap into a market for luxury Japanese cars outside Japan. Before Acura, automobiles exported from Japan were primarily economical in design and largely targeted at low-cost consumers.

Yes, they are owned by the same people. Some of the acuras that are in america are hondas in japan.
You see the similarity between the Integra and RSX because the RSX was basically the next generation of Integra. It was kind of designed off of it.

yes, acura is just a business name for honda like lexus for toyota. got it?
in japan, they dont have acura or lexus. like the lexus is300 here in the states is called a toyota altezza in japan.
one thing funny, was that the honda emblem and the acura emblem look similar.. the acura emblem looks like the honda one, but they shaped it, to make it a point and look closer to an A instead of an H.
A----H dont they look similar??

Yeah, Honda Owns/makes all the ACURA cars...like Toyota Owns/Makes Lexus, Nissan Owns/makes Infinity....
Acura Is the LUXURY division of Honda. But they slate it as a whole different car make-or company.
