I have a blown head gasket the car has 115 thousand miles new clutch and rebuilt trans . Is it better to get a rebuilt engine or just replace the gasket?

If you're going to take the thing apart you might as well have the head inspected and machined if needed otherwise you'll be doing it again real soon.

Replace the gasket, but as the previous answers said make sure the heads are still in good shape.

Having the heads machined isn't that pricey. When I had mine done it was $95.

Replace the gasket, but be sure to check and see if the head needs to be re machined. If so, you should really consider what the car is worth to you, because that can get pricey.
