Yes you do need your rest. But when you say that you feel dizzy. That is cause for concern. I would ask your Dr. if you are iron deficient. Its a simple blood test and it would explain your lethargy and your dizziness.
Good Luck with your pregnancy!

no its not bad i slept my whole trimester lol
I was so tired
I would get my normal 7-8 hours of sleep per night and than I would feel so tired and burnt out all day
so I would have a nap about 2-3 hours a day everyday
but it went away the farther along i got the more awake i would feel
by the time I got to my second trimester I wasnt tired
sure sometimes everynow and than I'll have a day where im tired and take a nap but there far in between each other
so dont worry its normal to feel tired in ur pregnancy but it does get better for most once ur done ur first trimester
just hang i there ;)
and as for the dizzy feeling I got that almost everyday also in my first trimester and that also really calmed down once the first trimester was over.
get ur rest ur body needs it its doing a big job
congrads on the baby!!!

No, sleeping is actually very good for the baby. Your body is working hard to supply nutrients and blood to the baby, and this early in pregnancy your body is going to require alot more sleep. Eventually you will feel better and more full of energy, as you approach your second trimester. Any time you feel sleepy, it's your body telling you that you need a little shut-eye. Besides, you might as well get lots now before the baby comes!

Congratuations!

I was really dizzy at times too and I felt sick to my stomach for the duration of the first 3-4 months, never lost my cookies though!(Don't know how, everything made me sick to my tummy!) Sleep as much as you possibly can now, because when baby comes you won't get near enough and you will really start to wonder how insomniacs function! I slept so much during my pregnancy, I was always tired, and I was never told too much sleep would harm her.
Your baby is nice and warm in her own little utopia. If yours will be anything like my little one was in the womb, it seemed she always knew when I was sleeping during my later months of pregnancy, because that is when she would move the most!

Just remember, your body is under going some drastic changes, and will continue to, so don't freak out! But if this really bothers you don't hesitate going to a doctor, that's what they are paid for. Better safe than sorry.

Good Luck Momma!!!

During my first trimester, I was SOOOOO tired I could fall asleep sitting up anywhere. I could barely keep my eyes open. After I was about 10-12 weeks, I started to feel like my normal self again. Just sleep! :) The baby doesnt mind you sleeping. He/she will just do their thing in there anyway.

If you feel sleepy, you must sleep. Every body & every pregnancy is different in the sense that some feel exhausted & some feel very energetic.
When my sister was pregnant with first , she had no nausea & was really active, had healthy baby.
When it was her second, she was super tired, sleeping always, gave birth to healthy baby.
Just ask your doctor when you go for check up next.
Otherwise, good luck & be happy.
