No it will never be extinct! Like Tooltroid said you just have to dig past all the crap to find the good stuff. Tool is definitely one of the best bands out there so I would recommend them if your into good music and self exploration.

The reason music is heading in the direction your speaking of is because of commercialism!

------------

Tooltroid are you ever going to contact me?!!?

Ok thanks alot for the response!!

Things can't always be happy-go-lucky. I say if you want to listen to good music, start doing some research and listen to artists who aren't played on the radio much. That's what I did with Tool, and they've basically inspired me to explore deeper into music, and I'm glad I did. There's so much better stuff than what's on the radio, and I hardly listen to it anymore. It's pointless hearing what other people want to hear all of the time instead of what you want to hear.

-------

I'm still doing some investigating. Just give me some time.

Today's music can't be used as a weapon: it would fall under "cruel and unusual punishment"

Yeah, but fortunately some of the folks who knew how to do it are still around. After the alternative boom of the early to mid nineties, things went to hell dammit.
