for one, in America you can't serve more than two terms.....I'm not so sure the system was like that in 1930s, 40s Germany....why would Bush want to do all this only to leave office within 8 years....that only being the case if he knew he'd be elected the 2nd time.
secondly, get real.
thirdly, I'm not even republican and I still am saying, get real.

Warren D is brainwashed at best. He met bush once. Maybe shook his hand. Good for you Warren! We are all very impressed! We are even more impressed that you were able to determine from meeting bush once and watching his scripted speeches that he is not a sociopath or psychopath. This is something that even very experienced psychologists can not do! In fact, the mere fact that he has you so convinced, on so little real factual and objective evidence is in itself the strongest evidence and it point to him being an exemplary psychopath. Warren I bet when you vote you always vote for the guy you think will win and convince yourself you voted for his platform. You are a dupe!

People who support Bush do so because they believe he reflects their views like any other politician in the USA.
Now, here's some history. The NSDWP (National Socialist German Workers Party, often called the called Nazi party) was created by Adolph Hitler and some other war veterans to counter the Versailles Treaty and was a combination of a union and a political party. Since the communists claimed all workers as their own, they routinely sent thugs to break up meetings of any other party organizing labor so the SA was formed to fight them when they tried. The conservatives (mainly monarchists) staged a coup but could not consolidate their power outside the Weimer Constitution so invited the NSDWP to join them in coalition since they were both anti-communist. Hitler would not agree unless he was made Chancellor. This was done when the President von Hindenburg appointed him believing that the conservatives could control him. One year later, after initiating many populist programs (creating government work to sweep the streets, improve roads, the autobahn, taxes-paid medical care, welfare, etc, he was elected Chancellor with more then 80% of the vote in what historians consider a fair election.
Now, which party in the USA is populist, created the Conservation Corps, welfare, touts prepaying for a VA style hospital system for all, and counts unions as one of their strongest supporters? Sounds like a closer comparison to Hitler would be Kennedy or Pelosi? God help us and the world if they ever get 80% of the vote.

Unfortunately, a lot of people supported Adolf Hitler. Maybe they were afraid to not support him. I believe that a lot of people support Bush because they feel unpatriotic if they don't.

For starters, i aggree with this, and the one who went on about your spelling mistakes has no other way to back up his evidence, so will pick at your errors instead. * please run a spell check for me! :-P
Bush is nothing but war hungry, he wants to control the world, yet he cant even control swallowing a pretzel without choking, but tom say people support hitler is a bit harsh, i dont believe americans are Nazis at all, they just are not educated enough to see that this man is destroying the little pride they had left.
sorry.

I support President Bush and I do have a fair knowledge of history including the history of Adolf Hitler.
I think you are full of it. You may draw your own conclusions on what "it" is.
Unlike many who offer opinions--which is what you are doing--this is not a valid question--I have actually met George W. Bush. He is a very decent man who wants the best for this country and other people when we have the power to influence their affairs.
The invasion of Afghanistan was justified. Regardless of the garbage you spout, America was attacked not by President Bush, but by Islamic terrorists. The offensive in Afghanistan did remove an oppressive regime, although it has not eliminated the threat as of yet.
Although the execution of the invasion of Iraq was badly flawed, it was also justified--even mandated by the United Nations, although the UN (as usual) failed to act on its own mandate.
Your use of statistics illustrates the danger of allowing some people access to numbers.
I am a Christian. I have never hidden behind my faith, and I have never been a terrorist.
You, sir, are full of manure. That is the word that Harry Truman used when his wife convinced him not to use a less polite synonym for manure.
Enjoy your tribulation.

The parallels in actions are many. Although for Bush's part, we did get attacked in a pretty big way by terrorists to begin with. That doesn't exscuse his rape of our civil liberties though.
My personal favorite -- Free Speech Zones. -- Now you only get to have free speech in quallified hidden zones in public.
