You mean where did SEGA go right?
Sega went right when they stopped making consoles and found out they will make more money by focusing on making games. Consoles are a severe drain on the wallet and take far to long to develop, whereas a game is cheaper, does not not take near as long to make, and the chances of a recall are slim to none

The Sega CD pretty much bombed, and the Dreamcast had problems... I bought 2 and they both stopped working almost immediately after I brought them home. Then after asking around, I started hearing the same thing from a few other gamers. I also wasn't really impressed with the game selections for either.

Poor marketing skills for the Sega CD, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast pretty much killed them.

SEGA went wrong in many ways. Developing to many systems at once, poor advertising, just the wrong time, and not very good games. The dreamcast had awesome sports games, but had little else. sony and microsoft came in and somebody had to go. but no SEGA is developing games for nintendo, who would of thought.
