We should and try understand what you ask question, this explain?

People have the Second Amendment to enforce the First if their government gets tyrannical. My two cents. It doesn't follow the First by sheer coincidence.

Why do people have the right to own a gun?

Because the Constitution says so. The right to bear arms, mainly in case of a invasion.

There's no way you'll repeal the Second Amendment, not while I'm still breathing. The Founders knew government always tends to get oppressive, and We the People need an insurance policy in case the bear excrement interferes with the fan belts.

The founding fathers of America did not trust governments. The Second Amendment is there as insurance. Armed citizens are free, unarmed citizens are sheep. It is note worthy that one of the first steps taken by tyranical governments is to confiscate all firearms in private hands.

In the founders own words, "The second amendment it there to protect the first."

The constitution allows for law abiding US citizens to own firearms. You only need to follow the rules in regards to obtaining one.

This would be easier to answer had the question been more coherent. The 2nd amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms for their security. If you accept that people have the right to protect themselves, then it must follow that they have a right to the means with which they can protect themselves.

I am glad I have the right to own a gun. I don't fear law abiding citizens with guns.

If you don't want to own a gun, don't. But don't try to take mine away.

The US constitution should be re-titled US constipation, a worthless piece of sh*t in anyone`s eyes other than an American.
