No it won't. I have windows vista and when it comes to lagging and jittery graphics that applies to your graphics card in your laptop.

There are 2 kinds of graphic cards that can be in your laptop.
One that is called Internal graphics and you can't change it or there is a slot in your laptop where you can take out, change, or add a different video card.

Go to your laptop manufactures web site and drop them an email question asking them if you can change the video card.

If they say no then you should get another computer for gaming.

The top things that help gaming are as follows.

1. Most important is video card. If the video card is built in they always are laggy. Better to replace it if you can or you have to get another computer.

2. The second thing that helps is Memory. If you have built in video card then try to get as much memory as you can into your laptop. It will make it better for sure but how much better is unknown until you try it. Most companies have a money back gaurantee so you can ask them before you get the memory, how long you have to get your money back. If they say 2 weeks or 30 days you can always try it and if no difference in speed is felt, you can get your money back.

Now one other thing that you may like about vista, if you have a usb slot on your laptop, is a new thing Vista has called BOOST. It's awesome for gamers. They have these usb "sticks" you can buy and stick it in your laptop and the sticks will have 1 gig or 2 gigs memory on it! So when you put it in your laptop you INSTANTLY add memory without having to open up the laptop.

If you are going to get vista and use it for gaming you will need no less than 2 gigs memory.

The main thing that helps gaming however is video card but if you can't change that then memory would be the only thing that would improve it.

Also don't go spending money on memory if you plan on getting a new computer. You can get some good, good buys in your local paper or those free papers they have in the stand at the grocery store.

Nah, vista won't improve your ram or processor. It's software, those are actual parts inside your lappy. And from what I hear around town, don't get vista right now. Its sort of buggy, just wait it out for a while until all of that is fixed up.

No... it wont.. Vista is just an operating system... installing it will change what you look at on the screen (like the start bar!) not any speeds of anything.
