I'm not that dumb, and most people I know aren't, but obviously there are quite a few.

I'm wondering why don't government set up more stings to catch them. I got two on the internet this year. Sent one to the FBI, like they will investigate.

don't know which scam you're speaking of but i have a friend who actually fell for a scam where he would recieve money orders, cash them, keep part of the money and forward the rest to nigeria, i think. what a dumb*ss. the feds and the post master general got involved. they had to file bankruptcy.sad part is, i don't think he really learned his lesson. he goes for get rich quick stuff. like i said-dumb*ss.

Is that the one that we inherited money? I don't know of anyone who fell for it. But there's lots of people who believe if they forward an email to 100 people, Bill Gates will share his money with them, that something magical will pop up on the screen. I can't believe people believe those. When I get those emails I write back and tell them those emails are bullsh*t and I can't believe they believed it would work!

It doesn't cost anything to throw out the bait. If they catch 1 fish out of a hundred or even one out of 500 or a 1,000 they are making money. As P. T. Barnum is credited with saying, "There is a sucker born every minute, and two to take him.".
