your endocrinologist should have explained to you that treatment of gynecomastia should be directed at correcting any underlying reversible causes. whats the cause of your gynecomastia? your meds may take time to see their full effects. medical reduction has been achieved with agents such as dihydrotestosterone, danazol, and clomiphene. however, these medications should be reserved for those with no decrease in breast size after 2 years.

surgical removal is rarely indicated and the vast majority of the time is for cosmetic reasons, as there is no functional impairment associated with this disorder. dont believe on everything that they say coz they just wanna acquire money from you.

but if it causes u psychological problems, then maybe u should request treatment from a plastic surgeon. i know this condition is embarrassing.

I'm sorry for your trouble. All surgeons believe that surgery is necessary for all afflictions. That is what surgeons do;they cut. It may be a problem in which a switch in medication is necessary. I think an internal medicine doctor can refer you to an endocrinologist who is more familiar with these hormonal problems. With no history, I am just assuming a few few things.I think you need to give the pills enough time like 3 months before you make the decision whether they help or not. Some side effects are temporary. I wish I knew more. May you get better soon.

is the gyno from puberty or from using pro-hormones, etc.?

there are different approaches depending on what caused it. once thing is for sure you need to decrease your body fat. adipose tissue (fat) is a major site for the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.
