Why does telling the truth seem to be so difficult?

It is so much easier to trust a person that you know is truthful.

My mother told me to ALWAYS tell the truth.I always tell the truth.
Period, I was racing a car once and a policeman pulled me later after he thought he might have seen me, he asked if i was speeding I told him yes.he gave me a ticket, I would still do the same, i found a wallet at the water company,while I was paying my bill, no one around at the time. with many hundreds of dollars in it, i had twenty dollars to my name, i turned it in , it wasn't mine to keep.I am known to be honest and honourable.My honour is emportant to me .with out it i am not a true man.But that doesnt mean that you cant have manners and not mention to someone that there ugly for instance.or whatever,I don't have to tell everyone everything.I have taken the fifth on many an occasions.

its really not that difficult most of people are so used to lying about everything and they always get a freaking laugh out of knowing that they told a lie, and wow i guess they feel big or something, i suppose it makes them feel like they are big, and wow you told alie good for you, and when you know people are lying they just go on and on and on. When someone tells a lie they just get into a habit of it because somehow they feel it changes everything and they know that it makes them look good for whatever reason they are telling the lie about also liars become habitual liars which turn into things much more major as to stealing, cheating, and etc, which lies are the main cause of all of our problems in this world if there were no people lying what the crap would we do, the all the free schemes on the net,lie liel lie, bush and war lie lie lie lie and degrading, politics, liars liars once again you can guess liars I hate them but I can not say that I am a saint because I have been known to tell a little white lie here and there lets face it everyone in this world has told a lie, its not a big deal anymore, lying to people know these days is like a drug you just gotta do it to get that high ,,,,,,, to stay high lie lie lie

it's hard for some people to tell the truth because they're afraid if they do, the other person will be upset or that they might get punished, so they would rather just lie then deal with the consequence of being honest. they dont always understand that most people (me atleast) wouldnt be mad if they just told the truth to begin with. i think the number one reason people lie is fear. fear of some sort. fear that someone else will get that promotion, scared their girl friend will leave them, scared they will go to jail. endless reasons to do with fear.

Because sometimes the truth will hurt or offend someone...but if you are tactful you can say the truth and avoid hurting someone.
I rather be truthful, sometimes though its hard to not hurt someone.

cuzz humans are narrow minded and they mistakenly believe they can easily trick others. Whenever people trick me I think they are morons. Smart people usually don't lie.

It's alot easier to like someone who doesn't.
Friend - "I bought you this sweater, isn't it sweet?"
Me - "Yea It's awesome, I can't wait to try it on!" (sigh)
