Personally, I'd keep away from Dell. You might try VooDoo PC's Website. Voodoo PC makes gaming laptops that are very nice. They have a good selection of laptops. They are reputable, HP makes them and HP is currently the best selling computer in the United States right now.

It really depends on what type of games you are considering purchasing. If you intend to play high-end heavy graphics games such as Lord of the Ring, World of Warcraft, or the Sims. You're looking at a more expensive high-end laptop. Minimum $1800 unless you get a really good deal. An important consideration is that many high-end games are better played with a numeric keypad (like a standard keyboard) few laptops have this. Check out the HP DV9000T series. (www.hp.com go to Notebooks) If you're more of a casual games playing "Golf" titles, or Kids gaming titles than a mid-level laptop should do just fine. $1000-1200. (I.e. HP's DV6000T series)

For mild gaming, get the dell Inspiron E1405. If you upgrade the processor to 2GHz and the memory to 2GB, it should only cost around $1400.
