I discovered that the comforter had chewing gum stains on it. It's marron in colour. Can somebody please help. I just bought it.

Yes, freeze it! Freeze the gum residue. Use an ice cube, (or a can of spray freeze stuff, from an electronics store.). Then break it off/brush it off when it's frozen.
This will take the actual gum off the silk, but I think you'll then have to have it professionally cleaned, to remove any stains.

ICE is the age old solution for gum..but I don't know if your comforter is washable or not? IF it IS, put some ice on it until the gum hardens and then scrape it off with a butter knife or something and then wash it. (Use COLD water since it is a dark color, and you can add a cup of salt into the water to help keep it from fading.) If it is Dry Clean Only, I would take it to the cleaners tomorrow.

scrub warm peanut butter on the gum it will dissolve it and not hurt the silk and then wash it out with water and repeat until all gum is gone. freezing it can hurt the silk fibers when breaking

having three young kids Ive taken out moue gum off of carpet and close and in there hair then most people chew in a year!!

get a brown paper bag, spread it over the gum and add the iron, the heat will cause the gum to melt and pick it up on the paper

freeze it. it should peel off or crumble off. dont do the iron trick..that is for candle wax..i dont know about the peanut butter deal..never heard of that one. good luck.
