It depends on how much music/movies you have or would like to put on these devices. If you have less then 15GB of music/movies, then go for the Zen. (I've never tried one, but at Wal-Mart, if you still have your receipt and you do not like it, you can return it.)

But, like me, if you you have more than 30GB of music/movies, then go for the iPod. They hold more if you have more.

An Ipod, they have a better design, the guy above me that said that the zen has more features is crazy, the only thing that it has that the ipod doesn't is just the screen, the ipod video has more features than it like:
You can download videogames to it
Use it as an external harddisk for your computer
Better brand

Who the hell is gonna pick a thing just because the screen is like half an inch only bigger
With the ipod you would be filling the crowd while with the zen nobody is gonna notice you.
Somebody above me also said that she uses the zen to store documents and other things, well the thing is that you can also save your documents and notes and contacts on an ipod so the zen does not have any feature that the ipod video does not have. With the ipod you can set a combination on the screenlock option so that noone steals it and with the zen you don't get that. The people that say that the zen is better is just because they can't afford an ipod. Hope this helped

I have both zen and ipod. I personally like Zen just because it has more features than ipod and it's less expensive. My ipod the battery life is less than my zen. I use my zen for everything including storing data such as document i.e homework file; contacts info; and record class lectures as well without paying extra for extra gadget.

Ipod is an excellent fashion accessory. Creative has better features. Both are good but if you are into serious media I'd get the Zen. Ipod has more add ons you can buy, but I love the line-in feature that automatically encodes to mp3 from any source. Even my little crappy 1gig Creative Nano has line in mp3 encoding.

I just bought my Zen Vision W last weekend. One word- AMAZING.
Picture is great, as well as audio. It's the best mp3 I ever bought, and Ive had both the iPod Video 30GB and the iPod Nano, and the Vision W just blows both away... There's no doubt about it, go with the Vision W.

I particularly have the Zen imaginative and prescient W 60GB, and could in no way prefer yet another transportable, multimedia gadget. I particularly have 14 video clips/video clips/complete concert activities, 1800 songs, 289 photographs, and have not hit the 0.5 way mark yet for memory. No regulations on music downloads like Ipod. It has a outfitted in mic to record memos to your self, it has a calendar, you are able to sync up on your workstation, has an FM radio outfitted in..... i will go on. i like it.
