No. What differentiates the canter from other gaits is the footfall pattern. The front foot hits the ground first, followed by the other front foot and opposite hind leg at the same time. The third and final beat of the canter is the other hind leg, opposite of the front that hit the ground first.
Hence, one would have to have four legs to be able to canter like a horse.

Didn't you ever ride a hobby horse when you were a kid?

If you did, do you recall how to get the rhythm of a canter, you kept one foot slightly in front of the other?

Well that is as close as a human can get to cantering.

No, we only have 2 legs and it takes 4 to canter...its a three beat gait and we only have 2!
