It is possible to get pregnant during your period for the very simple fact that it is possible for a woman to have multiple releases of eggs during a cycle. If counting the days of a cycle were an absolute perfect system, then there would be no need for birth control, and woman would never have unexpected pregnancies.

Many people share the false belief that you can't get pregnant when on your period or right after it.
In reality, you can get pregnant at any time. Ever heard of a girl having one period just two weeks after the other? That's because during the first period, the girl ovulated (produced an egg). Since sperm can live for a while (up to a week I've heard) inside the human body, waiting for an egg to be released, it is possible to get pregnant at any time during your cycle. Use protection, and be careful. Track your periods as well. It'll help.

In theory you cannot. But we know that 14 days before a period an egg was released by the ovaries to be fertilized. If it was not then a period occurs. But at this time another egg COULD have been released and it is possible, though unlikely, for you to become pregnant. Why put yourself through the agony though, when many forms of contraception which are free are readily available? The only loos I think where I think condom machines don't exist are in convents!

You can get pregnant at any time during your cycle. The likelyhood of you being able to get prego while on your period is very low, however everyones cycle is different. I actually ovulate during my period... stunned my doctor too, but twice I got pregnant while having menses.

Most women think they can't get pregnant on their periods. Not so. So be responsible and use birth control.

NO, you cannot get pregnant during your period. The menses start because the egg has not fertilized and the uterus is expelling the whole mess.
