hello !!
see pal,its surprising but true that India is one of the foremost nations to play soccer but unfortunately while the other asian countries like japan & china have progressed by leaps & bounds,india remains far behind.
firstly,the climate is a barrier:ours is a tropical country & playing a physical body contact game is never easy.
moreover,our boys have lean constitution & poor height.
to add insult to injury,the diet regimen is faulty.
we donot have proper training academies,''TFA'' is great with all the facilities but just one academy in such a big country is just not good enough.
moreover the game is regionalized:we here in calcutta are crazy about the game ,Kerala & Goa care for football while the rest of the country remains indifferent.
we need an able administrator in football like mr.dalmiya.
the AIFF is certainly no BCCI and that obstucts development;mr.dasmunshi,the AIFF president is a politician & busy with other things.
talent needs to be traced from the grassroot level:nursery leagues need to be emphasized.
boys need to be motivated to play the game:everyone wants to be the next sachin,who cares about being a bhaichung??
the game needs to be smartly packaged,just cheerleaders dance won't help the cause.
if we take care of these things, INDIA WILL PLAY THE FIFA WORLD CUP in the near future,say about 15 years from now.

INDIA will never get any chance to qualify for the FIFA World Cup finals in the future.

Small pleasures seem to turn you on.We should hang our heads that we have not even been able to qualify.I am sure that pretty soon,the same fate is awaiting the nation in Hockey where once upon a time we were reigning supreme.Are we a bunch of losers or are we! Have a Great Day.

I do like to see it...
but to answer your question I think only when we use stick in football or when we use wicket count instead of goal.
