No she is a accurate representation of Ann Coulter. Every group has its radical fringe and her opinions arent those of the majority of republicans, conservatives, liberals, democrats or such.

The problem with the Republican Party today is they have moved to far to the right and have been influenced by men like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, James Dobson and other TV ministers. The party seems to ignore those who moderate views as being outside the party.
Claiming to be party of the "big tent" an open to all persons and ideas. Look at all the Republican candidates seeking the nomination. Most have flip flop there views to right to gain the nomination.
The Republican Party of 2007 is not the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt or Eisenhower.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! They (the GOP) will promise and do anything to get elected (remember the big tent concept and compassionate conservatives). This person goes off the radar at times, then appears when she has one of her books to sell saying whatever poison can be conjured up to get the attention. Please, stop providing the forum. There is nothing funny about what she says. I watch and listen to a lot of the political pundits and ;save for a few I won't mention here, she is by far the most mean spirited and just plain hateful/hurtful person I have seen on TV. We have to just change the channel.

no matter what the rest of the GOP think of her, the absolute scariest thing is that this wack job, ann coulter believes whole heartedly in the verbal diareha she spews. Even Bill Mahr said once the only reason he has her on her show is because she totally believes in what she is saying. I would like to believe that other people can see that she is insane and has an evident eating disorder but this woman has written best sellers.....how is this possible? In her last book she called the 9/11 widows bitches for demanding answers.
to the other poster: Al Franken has never called anyone a
F@$*ot or called 9/11 widows bitches

She says just what the rest of them are thinking, but don't have the guts to say. She is in fact an accurate representation, but you won't get the Republican politicians to admit it. They're not that stupid. Let her keep talking. Every time she opens her big mouth she helps the Democrats. Even some of her beloved Conservatives are trying to distance themselves from her. Can't say that I blame them.

Coulter is just a media whore. She just says the most outrageous things to draw attention to herself. She's so witless, and can't make an intelligent argument, that she has to go for shock value. When one doesn't have brains or looks or anything to draw attention to themselves then they go for making "controversial" statements. Name-calling is third grade. Coulter is second grade. She strikes me as the kind of person who everyone hated as a child and who didn't get enough attention from Mommy and Daddy. Sure, if I was an ugly, dim-witted broad with a book to push I might go out and barf up some hateful mouth diarrhea to get publicity.

Ann Coulter is nothing more than a capitalist plain and simple. She found once upon a time that she could make some easy money speaking her mind and so she says what she thinks will get her gigs. No different than a clown.
In the end I suspect the GOP will distance themselves from her due to her explosive "comedy routines". Personally my gut feeling is that she is as FAKE as a plastic breast. She's probably more liberal than her bank account dares to admit. But that's just MY gut feeling and I could be wrong.
She represents what most people are learning is a dangerous phenomenon in today's politics and she will vanish with no mention in the future of history.

I have read some of what Ann Coulter has to say and have seen her on television, and I would consider her views as being rather far to the right of most mainstream Republicans.
She is, however, intelligent and well-spoken, which can be dangerous in some people's hands. I don't find her to be more dangerous than some of the extremists on the left, however.
I would consider myself to be a mainstream Republican leaning a little more to the right of center than average, but far from an extremist. Ann Coulter certainly doesn't represent my thinking most of the time, although I do find her somewhat entertaining.
I would like to see a lot of the rhetoric on both sides toned down considerably. There was a time when Republicans and Democrats could find a lot of common ground and could engage in civil discussions of their differing views. In fact, I have many friends who are Democrats and some of them are even pretty far to the left.
But Ann Coulter's presence is justified when the other side has its Al Frankens and when Hollyweird radicals have microphones and cameras thrust in their faces. None of them make for much in the way of civilized discourse.
