Wait until you have missed your period, then take a test. If you get your period, then obviously there is nothing to worry about. Every pregnancy is different, and there is no way that anyone on here can tell you if it was implantaion spotting or not.

implantation bleeding should happen a week after, not a week before, your period is due. five weeks is typically when implantation occurs. at five weeks a pregnancy test should be positive. if you have conceived, but it is still a week before your period is due, you probably wouldn't have any symptoms yet, probably wouldn't trip a urine pregnancy test, and probably wouldn't be bleeding.

seelie is totally right. i have had many patients with this exact question. and if it was implantation bleeding it usually occurs at about 5 weeks, one week after your missed period.

Every woman is different and no pregnancies are ever the same. Please see a doctor if you want to rest easy about your concerns.

Spotting might appear after vigorous exercise, so don't overdo or it might be a complication--a warning.

it sounds likely...you can take a test pretty early these days..(I took mine when I was only 3 weeks along). If in doubt (or worry) to to planned parenthood...it's safe, confidential, and free!
